Percussion Ensemble

The Dutch Fork Percussion Ensemble is open to any Dutch Fork student who has previous percussion performance experience and is enrolled in the school’s percussion class. The purpose of the ensemble is to allow its members and audiences to explore the rich and expanding repertoire of percussion literature and transcriptions, mostly from the wellspring of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Students have the opportunity to investigate various percussion-specific techniques while learning and performing music from multiple genres and eras.

The DFPE performs at least twice every year: Once in December for our Winter Concert, and once more in the spring for our annual “Very Loud Chamber Music” concert which is shared with the Jazz Band.
