Mr. Joe Miller is a native of Columbia, South Carolina, and a proud Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. During his time at USC Aiken, he was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education, in recognition of his academic excellence.
Mr. Miller is a member of the Palmetto Concert Band, The Carolina Jazz Xperience, and serves on the Board of Directors for The Carolina Winds, where he is also a featured performer. He is also a member of the South Carolina Brass Band and frequently performs as a trumpeter at churches and with regional orchestras. In addition, he is the owner and lead performer of The Coastal Breeze Band, where he showcases his talents as a vocalist, trumpet player, and saxophonist.
Currently, Mr. Miller serves as the Director of Bands at Dutch Fork High School, where he also coaches the Academic Quiz Team.
Mr. Miller lives in Irmo, SC, with his wife and best friend Michelle. He is the proud father of three children—Jordan (26), Alexis (24), and Samantha (15)—and is affectionately known as "Papa Joe" to his grandson, Henry Jordan Fisher. Their home is shared with their beloved dog, Charlie, and three cats: Oscar, Delilah, and Leo.
Jason is currently Director of Percussion at Dutch Fork HS and Dutch Fork MS. He also works with numerous middle school and high school programs in and around around South Carolina. An in-demand percussion arranger, he has written for not quite umpteen marching bands across the country.
Mr. Frith lives in Irmo, SC with his daughters Riley Shannon, Amelia Drew, and their three dogs: Rocket, Vivi, and Col. Beauford Barlow "Buddy" Frith, Ret."
Ms. Alyssa Haley is in her second decade as the Band Director at Dutch Fork Middle School. While under her direction the band program has increased in number and consistently received superior ratings at judged performances including Concert Band Performance Assessment, Carowinds Music Festival and Southern Star Music Festival. The band program has received the prestigious Outstanding Performance Award each year since 2012. Ms. Haley is an Irmo native having graduated from Irmo High School. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education from the University of South Carolina. While attending USC she studied clarinet with Doug Graham and performed with the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Marching Band. Outside of band she enjoys spending time with her son, Bailey and her dog, Blaze, gardening, reading, watching movies and learning to play guitar.
Mr. Ronald Johnson is a 1983 graduate of Newberry High School. Mr. Johnson attended U.S.C. Columbia and Lander University to complete his Bachelor’s of Music Education degree from Lander University in 1990. Mr. Johnson taught band, music and chorus throughout his teaching career. Mr. Johnson has taught in Laurens 55, Whitmire, Saluda, Union County and Williston-Elko. Mr. Johnson is a retired band director with a career of 34+ years in music education in SC. Mr. Johnson is currently substitute teaching in Lexington Five Schools and volunteers with Dutch Fork HS Bands.
Mr. Johnson continues his musical interests by playing trumpet in Carolina Winds and serving on the board. Mr. Johnson volunteers with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps.
Mr. Johnson has been married for 34 years to Beth Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is currently the organist/pianist at the Lowman Home in White Rock/Ballentine Mr. Johnson and his wife reside at Lake Murray in Prosperity, SC.
Mr. Johnson enjoys music, watching sports, doing yard work, eating out, going to the movies, attending concerts, reading and traveling.

Scott is a native of Columbia, South Carolina where he attended Summit Parkway Middle School and Ridge View High School. He majored in music education at the University of South Carolina from 2005-2010. A proud alumnus of Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, he has also served on the educational staffs for multiple other drum corps through the years. He has been a guest clinician across the country and has worked with countless high school and middle school band programs.
He is currently principal euphonium of the Palmetto Concert Band. Scott also teaches golf with the George Bryan Golf Academy and is a Real Estate Agent with EXIT Palmetto Real Estate.
Scott lives in Lexington, SC with his wife Elizabeth and 2 children Roman (6) and Ryan (4).
